Despite rain falling steadily we had ten hardy souls turn out for the traditional big new year clean up.
All areas of the two reserves were thoroughly checked and several bags of small item rubbish (cans, wrappers, bottles, carrier bags etc) were filled. There were also quite a few large items collected including a car tyre, metal seat frame, metal drum, the frame of a bedstead, pieces of wood, concrete posts and concrete gravel boards. Plenty for the Council to collect tomorrow!
We also checked all the steps and applied gravel to level these where necessary. Three very muddy sections on the main pathways were also cleared.
