We had 11 volunteers this morning including two new members who we hope will join us as regular members to help maintain the Ridge.
The jobs completed were:
- The mugwort triangle was cleared of all the top growth. The plan is to plant a number of fruit trees here. A problem will be that the mugwort will have seeded itself already so will require a lot of maintenance to make sure all new growth is immediately dug out.
- Most of the edging to the path alongside the grassy section near the entrance from Sandy Lane needed replacement and this was completed.
- Four more yew trees were planted together with some more hazel trees all on Alexandrina Plantation. Thank you to Chris for providing the yew trees.
- Litter was collected from both reserves.
