The Committee met on 22 January 2025. A summary of the discussions is provided below.
Policies and other documents
- The safeguarding policy was ratified by the Committee.
- The health and safety policy was ratified by the Committee.
- The Constitution was ratified at the AGM in November 2024.
The generic risk assessment was also reviewed and updates made.
Priorities for 2025
- Toolshed – will be explored further as to where this would be placed and kept secure.
- Bat boxes – following the Bioblitz, three species have been identified on the Ridge. Follow up is now needed to plan the placing of bat boxes.
- Fruit trees – the Council have confirmed they will provide trees for an orchard on the Mugwort triangle.
Greenwood Community Forest
It was agreed that the Friends would continue to be part of the Greenwood Community Forest.
Green Flag
The Green Flag Community Award will be applied for this year.
