On a perfect sunny morning we only had five members volunteering so they concentrated on planting 12 fruit trees in the triangle near the Brookside Avenue entrance. These had been supplied by the Council who also supplied us with 12 very sturdy stakes. The trees supplied were an equal number of apple and pear, with two different varieties of each. Despite the low turnout those who came enjoyed the morning and completed the planting. We also managed to clear litter from both reserves.
