We had eleven members this morning on what was a perfect autumn day and were really lucky after the rain we have had this week.
The jobs completed on the reserves were as follows:
- The two alcoves at the beginning of the main path leading from Markham Rd were cleared of the new growth that had come this year from the base of the trees that were cut down in these two areas a few years ago.
- The path leading from the stile near Heather Rise was also cleared of overhanging bramble.
- On the Alexandrina Plantation site a path alongside the wildflower area was cleared of weeds
- All the minor paths plus the bridle path were all checked and cleared of the overhanging bramble etc.
The Friends are always looking for extra pairs of hands to help out or to simply support their work, so...
