We had 9 members turning out on what was a perfect sunny day.
Apart from the usual litter collection on both reserves all the work today was concentrated on the Alexandrina Plantation reserve. With the combination of plenty of rain and warm weather there had been a real spurt in the growth of everything in the last four weeks.
So, armed with secateurs, loppers and shears we tackled all the pathways on this reserve... ... and managed to clear them all to make them safe again for walkers to use.
In addition some bramble was cleared around the edges of the area on Thoresby Road where the wildflower area is and also a lot of clearance was completed of the mugwort area.
The Friends are always looking for extra pairs of hands to help out or to simply support their work, so...
