We had 12 members this morning which was fortunate as a big job was planned.

Eight of the group set about clearing the Russian Vine that originated from a neighbouring house on Cranston Road. By sheer coincidence the people who were just moving in to this house had cleared the vine from their side of the fence only a few days earlier.

As can be seen in the photos below, this had spread extensively on the reserve side and a great job was completed in clearing and bagging all of this.

Hopefully, the Council will collect all the arisings sometime during the following week .

The plan is to site a secure metal container on the cleared area which will be used to store all the tools we use.

Meanwhile, the other four members of the group spent the morning clearing overhanging bramble and other vegetation from the main circular path on Alexandrina Plantation and the whole of the bridleway from Sandy Lane through to Thoresby Road. And, as always, a litter pick was completed on both reserves.
