This was an extra session following on from last week's 'normal' monthly session. We will return to the usual first Sunday of the each month again from 2nd February onwards.

Today we had 8 members turnout for planting the 100 hawthorn etc whips to restore some weaker sections of the hedgerow that was layered five years ago.

Some tree plants were also planted on the sloping section leading off the football pitch area to prevent people from using that section. This is where a dog walker suffered a serious injury a couple of years ago.

We also cleaned out all the bird boxes on the Markham Road site and also erected two new ones to replace ones that had rotted.

The Friends are always looking for extra pairs of hands to help out or to simply support their work, so...
