A dry day with brief sunshine and 11 members attending.

We also had two people from Practical Conservation Volunteers who were to clear the bank of broom alongside the path at the viewpoint, so, to make sure this was completed two of our members joined them. Three of us carried on with clearing overhanging vegetation come the main paths and the usual litter pick was carried out.

The rest of us cleared the debris that had been left last month when the bramble, bracken and other growth was cut down last month. This was alongside the layered hedge on the Markham Rd site. Numerous full wheelbarrows were moved off site to make this easier for the Council mowing team to be able to keep clear in the future but a bit more work will be needed next month to finish this clearing.

We have also ordered 100 hawthorn whips to plant in January in the sections where gaps in this hedge exist.
