On a very windy but dry morning we had 9 members attending.

Apart from the removal of the dead branches in the tree avenue opposite the grassland area on the Markham Road site all the work was carried out on Alexandrina Plantation reserve.

  • Mud and compacted leaves were cleared from the worst sections of the bridle path to create a clear area where users could use this path.
  • The mugwort area was levelled as much as possible and bramble and overhanging branches were removed from the circular path.
  • The seed mixture was sown in the Thoresby Road wildflower area. 2024-04 Fortunately we had light rain in the afternoon and more light rain is forecast for the next few days so this should give the seed a good chance to settle in.
  • The usual litter collection was completed on both reserves.

The Friends are always looking for extra pairs of hands to help out or to simply support their work, so...
