We only had a very small turnout this morning, but with the exceptionally dry weather there was little work that needed urgent attention.
- The usual litter collection was completed on both reserves.
- The rest of us cleared bramble from around the hazel trees planted just over two years ago ...
- ... and also made sure that the overhanging bramble and nettles were cleared from the bridle path.
Hopefully by the time of the next session we will have had a decent amount of rain so the ground will be easier to dig into, so we can then remove the broom that is growing in the wildflower area behind the Burnside Drive houses and also get the broken path edging restored alongside the path of the other wildflower area at the Sandy Lane entrance.
The Friends are always looking for extra pairs of hands to help out or to simply support their work, so...
