Another good turnout of 13 members this morning.
- The wildflower area alongside Thoresby Rd was surrounded by mugwort, so two of us spent the session removing all of these and bagging it up so it could be removed from the reserve. Hopefully we have managed to remove it before it had set seed but this is an area we need to keep a watch on for any further outbreaks.
- Most of the group concentrated on the Markham Rd reserve particularly area in and around Ivy Wood. A path within the wood was cleared, overhanging branches on a section behind Tracey Court was also cleared as was a partly collapsed tree on another path nearby.
- The recently laid hedge leading down to the stile near Heather Rise had put on a lot of new growth so this was cut back in its height to encourage it to thicken out.
- The usual litter picking was also completed.
