It was a very sunny and warm morning for this month’s session and we had six members turn out.

The Thoresby Road wildflower area had been rotovated earlier this week after having been treated with weedkiller almost two months ago. This made raking it over fairly easy...

... and then the seed was sown.

The Sandy Lane entrance wildflower area in contrast had not been treated with weedkiller and only a very small area alongside two edges had been partly rotovated. This small section was raked thoroughly to remove weeds and then seed sown.

This area in particular was very dry but fortunately moderate rain is forecast for tomorrow which should help both areas settle down well.

The Friends are always looking for extra pairs of hands to help out or to simply support their work, so...
