The weather was kind to us on this Sunday, following a week of almost unrelenting rain and winds.
14 of the group turned out for what we have always called "our annual clear up". Even though the amount of litter collected was far less than a few year's ago the group still managed to fill seven bags of general litter, but also collected...
- two lots of carpet
- a car wheel hub
- a jacket
- four wheelbarrows full of concrete
- several pieces of old fence posts
- a section of rusted wire fence
- and a complete door
The Broxtowe Borough Council removed all this from the site the folowing day.
The recent rains had brought quite a lot more soil down onto the lower section on the bridlepath, so 2 members spent the morning clearing this as well as some other sections of pathways which had become difficult to use.
