1, Bracken. The bash on Sunday 6th August was again very successful. Looking ‘well hammered’ it seems to have had enough for this season. Unfortunately, it will sprout again nest spring and will require further attacks. Well done to all who helped.
2, Brierley Park. Terry Birch, Chairman of “Friends of Brierley Park”, has a greed to attend the October meeting – 4th October.
3, The Alexandrina Plantation. Walter Grauberg has been investigating the origin of the name. Details of when it was sold in 1925 were circulated. Walter will continue with his investigation.
4, The Exhibition. The times and dates were confirmed

Much of the work on maps, bird life and plants has been completed. A small working party has agreed to meet in order to prepare the display. The following people agreed to be available on exhibition days.

5, Autumn Mow. Geoff Fewkes circulated a Project Newsletter giving details of the work to be undertaken on 18 & 19 September. Broxtowe Council have agreed to fund both the moving and provision of the skip. Continental Landscapes will perform the mowing operation and the BTCV have loaned the necessary equipment.
6, AOB. The Chair thanked Chris Riley and asked him to pass on our thanks to the council for their support, for the earlier tree shredding and for the latest project.
It was noted that during the summer there had been an increase in litter and broken glass.
It was suggested that the dog bin opposite the paly park should be moved as it was being misused by youngsters. Chris agreed to pass on this request
