We had 11 volunteers attend this morning and the jobs completed were as follows:
- The wildflower area alongside Thoresby Rd was cleared of last summer’s plants, then forked over and finally raked ready for new seed to be sown in either late April or the first week of May.
- Bramble and broom were cleared from the immediate area around the hazel’s that were planted three years ago and it was good to see that the wild daffodils and snowdrops were getting established around these trees.
- Litter was collected from both our reserves and a substantial amount was cleared from the pavement area’s alongside our reserve on Thoresby Rd.
